The gameplay is fairly simple, but still fairly engaging. Finally you have the option to send a family member out into the dangerous radioactive wasteland to try to find supplies. You also need to ration out food and water to keep your family alive.

The art design and writing for the game gives everything an early cold war feel, at least from the United States side of that conflict.
